Join aquatic adventurers Sophie Pierce and Matt Newbury, to celebrate the launch of their new guide to North Devon and Exmoor's best swimming spots, and to share a joyful journey through the south west's most beautiful places. Wild Swimming Walks Exmoor and North Devon - new out this year - is their fifth book together and covers some truly stunning locations including islands, estuaries, gorges and waterfalls.
In a richly illustrated talk, Sophie and Matt will share some of their favourite swim spots and walking routes, including Heddon’s Mouth, Woody Bay, Pinkery Pond, the East Lyn, Watermouth Bay, Badgworthy Water and Hele Bay. They'll be talking about their many adventures - from the sublime to the ridiculous - and will look at the restorative power of wild swimming and how it's bringing together growing numbers of people, united by the joy of immersing in wild waters as well as eating lots of cake afterwards!
